Description
The RTC2 PROTO Board features the DS1307 serial real-time clock (RTC). It is a low-power, full binary-coded decimal (BCD) clock/calendar plus 56 bytes of NV SRAM. Timekeeping operation continues even when the microcontroller is turned off as it can be powered by a battery that is not connected to the regular power supply. The board can be used as part of some prototype device in applications where real-time data is required. It comes with the appropriate schematic and software examples.
