The Serial LCD/GLCD Adapter Board enables you to easily connect your 128x64 GLCD and 2x16 Character LCD to a development system, thus saving MCU pins. A 16-bit I/O expander MCP23S17 can be provided on the board for expanding purposes. It is the only 16-bit I/O expander that features SPI(tm) clock speeds up to 10 MHz for higher throughput applications. A 16-bit remote bi-directional I/O port is connected to the character LCD, thus decreasing the number of MCU pins needed for running display. The board provides support for GDM1602A LCD and GDM12864B GLCD.
