Features
The ESP32-S3-ePaper-3.97 is a high-performance, highly integrated microcontroller development board designed by Waveshare. Equipped with an ESP32-S3 microcontroller, supports dual-mode Wi-Fi and BLE communication. Onboard 3.97inch e-paper display, features ultra-low power consumption and ambient light readability, suitable for portable devices and long-Batt-life scenarios. Integrated with an RTC chip, SHTC3 temperature and humidity sensor, TF card slot, low-power audio codec chip circuit, and Lithium Batt recharge management circuit. It provides a flexible and reliable development platform for IoT terminals, electronic tags, portable displays, and other applications.

- Supports 2.4GHz Wi-Fi (802.11 b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5 (LE), with onboard antenna
- Built-in 512KB Static RAM, 384KB ROM, with integrated 8MB PSRAM and external 16MB Flash
- Onboard 3.97inch e-paper display, 800 × 480 resolution, features high contrast and wide viewing angle
- Onboard audio codec chip, supports voice capture and playback, enabling AI voice interaction applications
- Onboard QMI8658 6-axis IMU (3-axis accelerometer and 3-axis gyroscope) for detecting motion gestures, counting steps, etc.
- Onboard PCF85063 RTC chip and SHTC3 temperature & humidity sensor for accurate RTC management and environmental monitoring
- Onboard TG28 power management chip, supports 3.7V MX1.25 Lithium Batt for uninterrupted power supply, with a reserved backup Batt header to ensure continuous RTC functionality during main Batt replacement
- Adopts TG28 chip for efficient power management, supports multiple voltage outputs, Batt charging, Batt management, and Batt life optimization, etc.
- Type-C port, improving device compatibility, easier to use
